It's Back! 2017 COLSAC Awards
"We are pleased to announce that we are having the 11th Annual COLSAC Award’s Ceremony coming up on December 3, 2017. We will be honoring our actors, artists and technical persons from this past year's productions. Nominees were announce at the BFN Announcement on October 12, 2017 only on the BFN All Access app. Biblical Films, The Film Factory and COLSAC has partnered together to bring this award ceremony to our artists to say thank you and that we appreciate your hard work with us.
The Coleman & Smith Artistic Company was created to provide opportunities to people who didn't have one. It was designed for people young and old, from any background, and any experience level to keep their artistic skills sharp. It was built to give people a chance to study their craft via acting, directing, stagecraft, film making & writing. For over twenty years, COLSAC has strived to give back to the arts community. By the grace of God and with the support of family and friends, COLSAC has earned 12 NAACP nominations and brought home Best Supporting Actor awards for its participants.
COLSAC produces its own Award ceremony where some of Hollywood’s finest have been honored. It has awarded talent, such as Brock Peters, Irma P. Hall, Debbie Allen, Roger E. Mosley, Tony Todd, Virginia Capers, Johnny Roasts Beef, Anna Berger, and Troy Beyer to name a few.
A nomination committee has been elected from The Film Factory and Biblical Films associates and ballots will be issued so that participants can vote for their favorite actors. The ballots will be emailed to all participating actors, directors, writers, and crew. All nominees will receive complimentary admission to the June 5th show. We treat it like the Academy Awards so dress to impress! The success of Biblical Films, and The Film Factory, wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of every Individual who share their talents and give of themselves selflessly. We congratulate you all on this occasion and hope that every one of you will come out to celebrate each other."
