About Pastor Kelvin Simmons:
Pastor Kelvin Simmons is ordained minister who has been preaching and teaching the Gospel for more than 17 years while his wife, Pastor La Quetta Simmons, and him served at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pomona, Ca for 18 and 29 years respectfully. Following the Spirit of God, they took on the charge of planting a church for the Glory of God. On Sunday February 3, 2008 along with nine founding members, Pastors Kelvin and La Quetta Simmons birth a new ministry, Immanuel Praise Fellowship.
Following the Holy Spirit, Pastor Simmons’ ministry is committed to providing a Spiritual fellowship that restores men, nurture women, teach and protects children, honors elders and most of all, edify the family to the glory of God. Their God given mission is “Changing Generations One Family at a Time”.
Pastor Kelvin Simmons is a gifted teacher and preacher. He believes that it is critical to teach and preach the Word in a thorough and simple manner in order to un-complicate Christ so everyone can experience equal and unlimited access to God. He earned his bachelors degree from the University of La Verne and received seminary training from the International School of Theology.
After four years of service, on February 5, 2012 Immanuel Praise Fellowship moved into their new 30,000 square foot Worship and Empowerment Center in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca.
Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles he rose above the plight of many young men growing up in similar communities across our country. A former community organizer, he has dedicated his life to re-creating communities where youth can thrive and everyday people have a voice. His work in the community has garnered him various honors and awards.
Pastors Kelvin and La Quetta Simmons have been married for 21 years and have a beautiful 14 year old daughter, Kandace Iman.
